Tornado in Transylvania

Not only are the people of Transylvania, Romania’s central region, trying to live their everyday lives surrounded by vampires (at least, according to many), but also by strange weather events.

Joke and myth aside, nature has brought about a strange phenomena in a North-Eastern Transylvanian village Thursday evening, around 6 p.m.  (Romanian hour). The tornado is a weather condition less known to the locals of Silivasul de Campie, a Bistrita County village, most affected by the storm.

The tornado destroyed several houses, swept away many trees and animal shelters, and nevertheless, deeply scared the locals, unaccustomed to this type of weather.

Thankfully, according to 9AM, a Romanian-based news website,  no human loss was recorded.
